How do I get a job at CDS?

For anyone seeking employment at CDS for the first time, they need to come to the administrative office at 455 Hannings Lane, Martin, Tennessee in order to complete an application. A very important part of the application is supplying complete, correct addresses and phone numbers for all work history locations and for personal references. CDS does not accept applications without this information. Anyone seeking employment should have this information with them when they come in to fill out the application or they can take the application with them and return it. The application is referred to the supervisor that is hiring and the applicant will be contacted for an interview.

How do I access services through CDS?

Call CDS Industries and ask for Karen Lawrence, Admissions Coordinator
The date of your call will become the date of entry or initial contact date. An application for admission into the CDS program structure will be mailed to the individual or family for completion. The completed application along with the most recent psychological assessment available should be returned by mail to CDS. This completes the application process at CDS.

The next step is to call the DMRS office at 1-866-372-5709, ask for West Tennessee Intake Services, Shawn Davis. It is very important to make sure your name is on the West Tennessee Regional Office, Division of Mental Retardation Services' (DMRS) waiting list for services also.

If you are not on the DMRS waiting list a phone referral can be taken while you are on the phone with the Intake Specialist.

The West Tennessee Regional Office must approve all services provided. When an opening at CDS is available you will be contacted by DMRS and/or CDS to begin services.
